Expozice „Živá příroda Českého krasu“ je zaměřena zejména na vyšší obratlovce. Vystaveno je zde téměř 70 druhů ptáků a savců reprezentujících jednotlivé biotopy Českého krasu.
Pozadím hlavní části expozice je panoramatická fotografie údolí Berounky, před kterou jsou vystaveny exponáty zvířat charakteristické pro říční a skalní biotopy. Nechybí mezi nimi např. ledňáček říční a v jeskyních Českého krasu zimující netopýr ušatý. V pravé části expozice jsou umístěni zástupci lesní fauny, z nichž pozornost návštěvníka zaujmou především žluna zelená s datlem černým a jezevec lesní, který je zároveň největším exponátem celé expozice. Levá část expozice je věnovaná ukázce zástupců dravců a sov, mezi nimiž vyniká především naše největší sova výr velký. V popředí celé expozice jsou umístěni ptáci a savci obývající prostředí luk a polí, jakými jsou např. křepelka obecná, křeček polní či sysel obecný.
Protější vitrína, která doplňuje hlavní expozici, seznamuje návštěvníky s ostatními druhy zpěvného ptactva a zástupci mokřadní avifauny.
Vybrané druhy brouků a motýlů umístěné v prosklených krabicích před vstupem do expozice reprezentují faunu bezobratlých Českého krasu.
Flóra Českého krasu je dokumentována fotografiemi významných chráněných rostlinných druhů. Součástí expozice je i sbírka vzorků dřeva 11 druhů stromů s vyznačeným podélným a příčným řezem.
Living Nature of the Czech KarstThe exposition "Living nature of the Czech Karst" is aimed especially at the higher vertebrates. There are exhibited nearly 70 species of birds and mammals representing different habitats of the Czech Karst. The background of the main section is a panoramic photograph of the Beroun Valley, before which are exhibit characteristic animals for the river and rocky habitats. Among them are for example the kingfisher and in the caves of the Czech Karst hibernating bat. In the right part of the exhibition are located representatives of the forest fauna. The visitor attention mainly attracts the woodpecker green, woodpecker and badger, which is the largest exhibit of the whole exposition. The left part of the exposition is devoted to the display of the representatives of the predators and owls, among which stands out above all our largest owl the eagle-owl. In the foreground of the whole exposition are placed a birds and mammals inhabiting environments of the meadows and fields, such as the quail, hamster and gopher. The opposite showcase, which complements the main exposition, acquaints visitors with other kinds of singing birds and representatives of the wetland avifauna. The selected species of beetles and butterflies in the glass boxes, placed before the entry to the exposition, represent the invertebrate fauna of the Czech Karst. Flora of the Czech Karst is a documented photo material of the protected plant species. In the exposition you can also find a collection of wood samples of 11 kinds of trees marked with the longitudinal and transverse cut.
